How it works
This tool reads and writes .xlsx files locally. Merging supports two layouts: one sheet per source file, or all rows stacked into a single sheet. Splitting supports three strategies: by worksheet, by row count, or by the values of one column. Files never leave your device; formulas are read as cached results, while styling and charts are not preserved.
- To merge: upload two or more workbooks and pick "one sheet per source file" to get a multi-tab Excel.
- To stack everything into one sheet, switch the layout and optionally skip later header rows or append a source column.
- Splitting by worksheet saves every tab as its own .xlsx, numbered and named after the sheet.
- Splitting by row count suits very large tables; enable the repeated header so each file stands alone.
- Splitting by column value groups rows that share the same value - handy for per-region or per-department handouts.
