How to use
- Click or drop a PDF. Files under 30 pages and 15MB start compressing automatically; larger ones wait for the "Compress now" button.
- When in doubt, use Smart: it tries both lossless optimization and image recompression, then hands you the smaller result.
- For text-heavy PDFs pick Lossless - it trims some size while keeping every word, link and vector intact.
- For scans, screenshots or image-heavy PDFs pick Image recompress and lower the DPI or quality, or turn on grayscale - often 70%+ smaller.
- Everything runs locally in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded, and keeping a copy of the original is always a good idea.
